Circular walk to Drayton St Leonard returning via Beaconsfield. Grade: Moderate I wasn’t feeling a hundred percent this morning, and it would have been exceedingly easy to just stay at home and not bother, it was frosty outside! I pulled on my big girl pants and got on with it. I arrived at the meeting point to discover that the leader, David, and I were the only ones who had shown up. I was wrapped up nice and warm, layers, woolly hat, gloves, off we went. We had a lovely walk, the frost thawed as we went, the sun came …

This walk was with The Vale of White Horse group. It was a frosty morning, my car needed deicing before I set off. I had an errand to run in Wantage so this walk tied in nicely with my plans. This was the biggest group I had rambled with so far, there were eighteen of us, and two doggies, a husky and a standard poodle with a very bushy tail. Our …

Today’s walk was with the Henley and Goring group, thirteen ramblers and two doggies, Peanut and Molly. The forecast was for rain around 1pm but it didn’t happen, fortunately. This was a fabulous stroll, some of the paths I recognised from Geocaching many years ago. I discovered a pub In Woodcote I didn’t know existed, but having said that, I have never been in the one I knew about! We looked down on Elvendon Priory and …

A great morning for a walk, a group of twelve, and I am starting to see familiar faces now I have been on a few walks. This was familiar territory to me as some of my usual cycling routes. I was conscious that I haven’t done much cycling lately, soon to be rectified! Later in the day I discovered some Geocaching friends had been parked in …
Start: 10:30am @ Wittenham Clumps car park (SU567923, OX14 4QZ)Description: To Little Wittenham, Day’s Lock, Dorchester and Warborough returning via Shillingford and Little Wittenham Wood. It had been sometimes since I visited the clumps and I was looking forward to a revisit. Just a thirty minutes drive to the rendezvous, and there was a good number of people ready to head off, twelve in all I think. It was a glorious day and the views from the clumps were quite spectacular, particularly from the marker indicating the various points.
