I arrived at Grassington Bunk Barn last night, fortunate to have a lift. Bus into Skipton today and commenced my walk.
The plan was to walk to Grassington, however the weather was awful but my gear kept me warm, top half dry, bottom half wet because I hate waterproof trousers. I would rather wear shorts but even for me it’s a bit too early in the year. I got to Barden Tower, oh my that was impressive. I bailed here and got the bus back to Grassington because there was one due and it was too tempting. The weather worsened so it was the right decision. I will bus back to the tower for next section. I have been joined at Grassington Bunk Barn by my other half and we will do that section tomorrow together, weather looks better. Not sure yet about the following two days, heavy rain forecast. Total mileage today about 12 miles, 10 of which were Lady Anne’s Way.
